🍵 *Onion Pakora (Onion Fritters) Recipe*
A crispy and flavorful Indian snack made with onions, gram flour, and spices – perfect with tea on rainy days!
🛒 *Ingredients (Serves 3–4)*
➡️ 2 large onions, thinly sliced
➡️ 1 cup gram flour (besan)
➡️ 2 tbsp rice flour (for extra crispiness)
➡️ 2 green chilies, finely chopped
➡️ 1 tsp red chili powder
➡️ ½ tsp turmeric powder
➡️ 1 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
➡️ Salt to taste
➡️ Water as needed
➡️ Oil for deep frying
🥄 *Instructions*
➡️ In a bowl, add sliced onions, green chilies, and salt. Mix and let it rest for 5 minutes so onions release water.
➡️ Add gram flour, rice flour, chili powder, turmeric, and ajwain. Mix well.
➡️ Sprinkle little water if needed to coat onions (batter should be thick, not runny).
➡️ Heat oil in a kadhai/pan. Drop small portions of batter and fry until golden brown and crispy.
➡️ Drain on paper towels and serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.
✅ *Tip:* For extra crunch, add a handful of spinach or cabbage along with onions.
