🍽️ *Tawa Paneer Recipe | Quick & Spicy Paneer Starter*
This Tawa Paneer is a flavorful, semi-dry paneer dish cooked on a flat pan (tawa) with a bold blend of spices. It's perfect as a side dish, starter, or even rolled into a roti as a quick wrap. With its smoky taste and soft paneer bites, it’s a hit at every meal!
🛒 *Ingredients*
👉 *Main:*
200–250g paneer, cubed
1 tbsp oil + 1 tbsp butter
1 onion, sliced
1 capsicum, sliced
1 tomato, chopped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
👉 *Spices:*
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp chaat masala (optional)
Fresh coriander for garnish
1 tsp lemon juice
👩🍳 *Instructions*
*1. Prepare the Paneer*
Lightly sauté paneer cubes on the tawa with a little oil until golden. Set aside.
*2. Make the Masala Base*
In the same pan, heat oil + butter. Add ginger-garlic paste, onions, and capsicum.
Sauté until soft and lightly golden.
*3. Add Spices & Tomato*
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they break down.
Add turmeric, chili, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
*4. Combine & Finish*
Add paneer cubes back into the masala. Mix gently to coat well.
Add garam masala, chaat masala, lemon juice, and mix.
Garnish with fresh coriander.
*5. Serve Hot*
Best enjoyed with naan, paratha, or as a filling in rolls!
✨ *Tips:*
You can add a spoon of cream or curd for a richer taste.
For extra smokiness, place a piece of hot coal in a bowl, keep it in the pan, pour ghee over it, and cover for 1–2 minutes.
